How we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use this website or contact us.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Mamma Mia Advisory Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company licensed in the International Free Zone Authority (IFZA), United Arab Emirates. We work alongside our UK firm, Cosmos Financial Solutions (“Cosmos”). Mamma Mia Advisory Solutions is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
We handle personal data in line with the laws that apply to us, principally UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where an enquiry is handled by Cosmos in the UK, UK data protection law also applies (see UK enquiries & Cosmos).
Data we collect
We only collect personal data you choose to give us, and a minimal amount of technical data needed to run the website securely.
- Enquiry details — when you use our contact form, email or call us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), organisation (optional), the service and region you select, and the content of your message.
- Technical data — our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) to keep the site secure and working.
- Cookies — we use one strictly necessary cookie on the contact page to protect the form from spam. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. See our cookie policy.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data. Please do not include sensitive information (for example about health, religion or finances) in the contact form.
How we use your data
| Purpose | Basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and arranging an initial conversation | You ask us to by contacting us and, where relevant, steps needed before entering into a contract with you |
| Keeping the website secure and preventing spam or misuse | Our legitimate interest in keeping the website safe and working |
| Meeting legal, regulatory and professional obligations | Legal obligation |
We will not use your details for marketing unless you have separately agreed to this. If you become a client, our engagement letter will explain how we use your data to deliver our services.
Sharing your data
We never sell your data. We share it only where necessary with:
- Cosmos Financial Solutions and other specialists within our network who are best placed to answer your enquiry;
- service providers who support our business, such as our website hosting and email providers, under arrangements that protect your data;
- professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where required by law.
UK enquiries & Cosmos
Cosmos Financial Solutions is our UK firm. If you are in the UK, or your enquiry relates to the UK, we may pass it to Cosmos. Cosmos then handles your data as a data controller under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration reference ZA727895. In those cases the UK lawful bases of legitimate interests, steps prior to a contract and legal obligation apply, and you have the rights set out under UK law.
International transfers
We operate across the UAE, the UK, the Gulf and other regions, so your data may be handled in more than one country. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we will make sure appropriate safeguards are in place. For UK personal data transferred outside the UK, these include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses) or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case our client retention policy applies. Server logs are kept for no longer than 90 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you have the right to request access to your data, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, to withdraw consent you have given, and to ask us to transfer it. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mammamiaadvisory.com. We will respond within one month.
Contact & complaints
If you have any questions about this notice, contact us at info@mammamiaadvisory.com. Please contact us first if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office. For enquiries handled in the UK, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or call 0303 123 1113.
